The Agency for Innovation, Green Transition and Industry Promotion is an organization under the Ministry of Industry and Trade, established pursuant to Decision No. 936/QĐ-BCT dated April 02, 2025.

The Agency for Innovation, Green Transition and Industry Promotion functions as an advisory body, assisting the Minister of Industry and Trade in state management and law enforcement in the following areas:  scientific research, technology application and transfer, innovation; product quality, standards, technical regulations, measurement, and intellectual property; energy efficiency, sustainable production and consumption, circular economy; climate change, green growth; green transition and sustainable development; industry promotion, industrial clusters, and handicrafts according to the law and the Minister's delegation and authorization.

With legal status, an official seal, and a dedicated financial account, the Department operates with funding from the state budget and additional sources as regulated by law.
