Overall Objective:
By 2025, public and private sector awareness of renewable energy (RE) and energy efficiency (EE) policies and programs, as well as the effectiveness of RE/EE practices and initiatives, will have significantly improved. This will contribute to ensuring sustainable energy supply and consumption, strengthening Vietnam's energy security, supporting the transition to a low-carbon economy, and enhancing gender balance in the energy sector.
Specific Objectives:
- Objective 1: Public and private sector stakeholders across all provinces and municipalities will gain comprehensive knowledge of existing and newly issued RE/EE policies, with a gender balance consideration.
- Objective 2: Journalists from targeted provincial and national media agencies will receive training on RE/EE and gender balance in the energy sector, leading to improved media coverage on these topics.
- Objective 3: Key community groups with gender diversity in selected cities will be empowered with knowledge and capacity to adopt best practices and initiatives in RE/EE, with gender balance consideration.
- Objective 4: Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and financial institutions will be equipped with knowledge of the importance of RE/EE and business models for RE/EE investments, with a gender balance consideration.
